Brief: Create a high impact publicity campaign for the first ever theatrical release of a special edition version of the Elvis concert movie Elvis: That’s the Way It Is and the re-release of Suspicious Minds as a single

Solution: Secure a media sponsor for an Elvis premiere at a glamorous London venue with celebrity guests followed by a post premiere party to compliment the press strategy for a nationwide release of a concert movie starring the world’s greatest musician. Use marketing, PR, promotion and production knowledge and relationship with BMG and Elvis Presley Enterprises to create the first ever music video for Suspicious Minds and simultaneously cross promote the theatrical and single release across national and regional broadcast and print media

Results: VH1 sponsored a gala screening at the Empire Leicester Square. Gala screening was introduced by Frank Skinner, the film and party were attended by celebrities including Bill Wyman, Cat Deely, Sharlene Spiteri and the Sugababes. Major coverage in the tabloid show biz pages as well as key film magazines and the national press. Blue Dolphin brokered promotions which ran in newspapers including Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times and high circulation regional press. The video for Suspicious Minds was used repeatedly on VH1, Top of The Pops, MTV and Radio 1 and helped it gain a Top 20 position (13).
